Trial reports for this compound rely on a small set of repeated measures. Body weight is normally expressed as percent change from baseline at a fixed week, with absolute kilograms given secondarily. Glycemic endpoints include HbA1c, fasting glucose, and, in some protocols, continuous glucose monitoring summaries. Imaging endpoints such as MRI-derived proton density fat fraction quantify liver fat. Standardization matters because a percent change and a categorical responder analysis can tell different stories about the same dataset.
Body composition is assessed with dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry or comparable methods, which separate fat mass from lean mass. Reported losses include both compartments, and the ratio between them is a subject of ongoing analysis rather than a settled result. Waist circumference, blood pressure, and lipid panels are collected as supporting measures. Resting energy expenditure and substrate oxidation are measured in smaller mechanistic studies, where glucagon receptor activity is expected to matter. These substudies are typically short and small, so their findings carry wide uncertainty.
Retatrutide is an investigational synthetic peptide that acts as an agonist at three distinct G protein-coupled receptors. It combines activity at the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor, the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor, and the glucagon receptor within a single molecule. This multi-receptor profile distinguishes it from earlier incretin-based compounds that engage one or two of these pathways. Researchers designed the molecule to test whether simultaneous activation produces greater metabolic effects than single or dual agonism alone.
The peptide backbone is chemically modified to resist rapid enzymatic breakdown in the body. A fatty acid side chain promotes binding to serum albumin, which slows renal clearance and supports an extended circulation time. These modifications allow less frequent administration than would be possible with an unmodified peptide. The precise contribution of glucagon receptor activation to the overall metabolic effect remains an area of active investigation, because glucagon raises glucose while also increasing energy expenditure.

Documentation plays a practical role in maintaining consistent results across laboratories. Certificates of analysis list purity, identity, and testing methods, and batch numbers allow comparisons between lots. Records of storage temperature and handling history help investigators interpret unexpected findings. When a sample behaves anomalously, reviewing that documentation often reveals whether the cause lies in the material or in the assay conditions.
Laboratories identify and quantify retatrutide using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. This approach separates the peptide from related impurities and confirms identity through mass-to-charge measurements. Purity is commonly reported as the area percentage of the main peak relative to the total chromatogram. Ultraviolet detection near 214 nanometers is also used for peptide quantification, while intact mass analysis checks the molecular weight against a reference value.
The medio-lateral incision is made between the vagina at an angle and is not as likely to tear through to the anus. The medio-lateral cut takes more time to heal than the median cut. Vaginectomy is surgery to remove all or part of the vagina, and is usually used to treat malignancy. Removal of some or all of the sexual organs can result in damage to the nerves and leave behind scarring or adhesions. Sexual function may also be impaired as a result, as in the case of some cervical cancer surgeries. These surgeries can impact pain, elasticity, vaginal lubrication and sexual arousal. This often resolves after one year but may take longer. Women, especially those who are older and have had multiple births, may choose to surgically correct vaginal laxity. This surgery has been described as vaginal tightening or rejuvenation. While a woman may experience an improvement in self-image and sexual pleasure by undergoing vaginal tightening or rejuvenation, there are risks associated with the procedures, including infection, narrowing of the vaginal opening, insufficient tightening, decreased sexual function (such as pain during sexual intercourse), and rectovaginal fistula. Women who undergo this procedure may unknowingly have a medical issue, such as a prolapse, and an attempt to correct this is also made during the surgery. Surgery on the vagina can be elective or cosmetic. Women who seek cosmetic surgery can have congenital conditions, physical discomfort or wish to alter the appearance of their genitals.
Gas-cooled fast reactor cooled by helium. Sodium-cooled fast reactor based on the existing LMFBR and integral fast reactor designs. Lead-cooled fast reactor based on Soviet naval propulsion units. Fast reactors are not necessarily breeders. For example, sodium-cooled fast reactors can operate as transmuters, converters or breeders. Mixed-oxide fuel combines uranium dioxide and plutonium dioxide. Its plutonium content depends on the reactor design and may vary across the core. Another fuel option is metal alloys, typically a blend of uranium, plutonium, and zirconium (used because it is "transparent" to neutrons). Enriched uranium can be used on its own. Many designs surround the reactor core in a blanket of tubes that contain non-fissile uranium-238, which, by capturing fast neutrons from the reaction in the core, converts to fissile plutonium-239 (as is some of the uranium in the core), which is then reprocessed and used as nuclear fuel. Other FBR designs rely on the geometry of the fuel (which also contains uranium-238), arranged to attain sufficient fast neutron capture. The plutonium-239 (or the fissile uranium-235) fission cross-section is much smaller in a fast spectrum than in a thermal spectrum, as is the ratio between the 239Pu/235U fission cross-section and the 238U absorption cross-section. This increases the concentration of 239Pu/235U needed to sustain a chain reaction, as well as the ratio of breeding to fission.
=== Recurring === Dave Franco as Danny Wegbriet, Yoshi's shifty, stoner, childhood friend, who usually ends up making things worse when Yoshi turns to him for help. He notably wears some sort of new hat in each of his appearances. Michaela Dietz as Hannah Schwooper, Avi and Jen's daughter. Born in 2009, she is technically not Jewish as her mother is not and Avi did not raise her around the culture due to his own disassociation from religion. In middle school Hannah has a good relationship with her father and shares his interests but is isolated from children her own age, though she does find a friend group at the end of "Wolves". She is passionate about photography, and also has a strained relationship with Jen after her and her father divorce. She grows more interested in her Jewish heritage adound this time as well, though fears she is not "Jewish enough" to do so. Gina Rodriguez as Rachel "Baby" Feldstein, Shira's bisexual childhood best friend. The two began secretly hooking up during their senior year of high school, with Shira genuinely having feelings for but Baby acting dodgey about having a conversation about their relationship. In 2002, Shira sneaks out of her mom’s ceremony to prom to make things official but she catches Rachel kissing a boy. During their ensuring argument she discovers Rachel never saw their relationship as anything more than a mindless fling, and a heartbroken Shira angrily ends their relationship, though Rachel callously retorted back they never had anything, further devastating Shira.

In 2015, Schumer was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people. Schumer was named to Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People for 2015. Schumer has received praise for addressing various social issues through comedy. Throughout 2015, several of Schumer's skits in Inside Amy Schumer went viral online, sparking editorials regarding sex, feminism, and rape culture. In June 2015, Monica Heisey of The Guardian criticized her for "a shockingly large blind spot around race". Schumer responded on Twitter, stating "I go in and out of playing an irreverent idiot. That includes making dumb jokes involving race ... You can call it a 'blind spot for racism' or 'lazy,' but you are wrong. It is a joke ... I am not racist." Schumer was again criticized in July 2020 by Kyndall Cunningham of The Daily Beast for her earlier work, which included "objectifying black men" and calling Latina women "crazy". Cunningham described her "sudden" decision to support the Black Lives Matter movement as "befuddling and laughable". After a fatal shooting took place at a showing of Trainwreck in Louisiana, Schumer advocated for stricter gun control laws and increased mental health funding. After her 2018 wedding, Schumer asked fans to donate to Everytown for Gun Safety instead of giving wedding gifts. In November 2015, Schumer posed nude for a photo by photographer Annie Leibovitz for the 2016 edition of the Pirelli Calendar. Schumer tweeted the photo, writing "Beautiful, gross, strong, thin, fat, pretty, ugly, sexy, disgusting, flawless, woman.

== Research == Current research in regenerative medicine spans a continuous spectrum from fundamental cell biology to clinical translational engineering, focusing on deciphering and manipulating the signaling pathways that govern tissue morphogenesis, cellular differentiation, and scarless wound healing. Rather than merely managing chronic symptoms, active laboratory investigations aim to understand why adult mammalian tissues lose the regenerative capacities inherent in lower vertebrates and human embryonic states. Research strategies are broadly categorized into three interdependent vectors: cell-based therapies, which isolate and direct stem cell fates; biomaterial design, which engineers bioactive scaffolds to mimic the native extracellular matrix; and the delivery of localized biochemical cues, such as growth factors and gene-editing complexes, to orchestrate endogenous tissue repair. A major bottleneck in ongoing research is solving the scalability of functional vascularization, as complex engineered tissues cannot survive past the limits of oxygen diffusion without an integrated capillary network.
Cited half-life: the median age of the articles that were cited in Journal Citation Reports each year. For example, if a journal's half-life in 2005 is 5, that means the citations from 2001 to 2005 are half of all the citations from that journal in 2005, and the other half of the citations precede 2001. Aggregate impact factor for a subject category: it is calculated taking into account the number of citations to all journals in the subject category and the number of articles from all the journals in the subject category. Immediacy index: the number of citations the articles in a journal receive in a given year divided by the number of articles published. Journal citation indicator (JCI): a JIF that adjusts for scientific field; it is similar to Source Normalized Impact per Paper, calculated based on the Scopus database. JCI is available for all journals in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoS CC)—including the AHCI, ESCI, BCI, CPCI—while JIF is only available for the SCIE and SSCI; however, starting in June 2023, JIF will also be issued for all journals in the WoS CC. JIF quartile ranking: a rank based on the four quartiles within a given subject or topic category. JIF percentile ranking: a percentile rank computed for a particular subject category. A given journal may attain a different quartile or percentile in different categories. As with the impact factor, there are some nuances to this: for example, Clarivate excludes certain article types (such as news items, correspondence, and errata) from the denominator.

=== Commonwealth period === From 1914 to 1927, parts of Western Negros hosted several newly established settlements which became cities connected by railroads constructed to flow towards several "sugar centrals" which were processing the extremely sweet raw sugar canes grown in Negros' volcanic soil and farmed by several "Haciendas". These haciendas littered the countryside as the central sugar mills eventually grew to become full pledged towns and cities: chief among which were Ilog, Hinigaran, La Carlota, Silay, Pulupandan, Bacolod, San Carlos and Bais. Western Negros also saw massive immigration from Panay as the Spanish, Chinese, and French mestizos, plus others, who were serving in the Haciendas imported laborers from Panay island to foster the farming of Negros' sugar plantations and thereby displacing the Cebuano speaking natives. Soon, vast numbers of immigrants from Spain, most of them Basques, became Negros' plantation owners. The east side of Negros was not as thickly settled but became a center of education as on 9 April 1901, the Second Philippine Commission under the chairmanship of William H. Taft arrived in Dumaguete. Weeks later on 1 May, the civil government under American sovereignty was established, and on 28 August, Dr. David S. Hibbard founded what is now Silliman University the first American school in the Philippines and the entire Asian continent with the help of Meliton Larena as the first Mayor of Dumaguete, as well as Demetrio Larena.
== Uses == The dominant use of potassium sulfate is as a fertilizer. K2SO4 does not contain chloride, which can be harmful to some crops. Potassium sulfate is preferred for these crops, which include tobacco and some fruits and vegetables. Crops that are less sensitive may still require potassium sulfate for optimal growth if the soil accumulates chloride from irrigation water. The crude salt is also used occasionally in the manufacture of glass. Potassium sulfate is also used as a flash reducer in artillery propellant charges. It reduces muzzle flash, flareback and blast overpressure. It is sometimes used as an alternative blast media similar to soda in soda blasting as it is harder and similarly water-soluble. Potassium sulfate can also be used in pyrotechnics in combination with potassium nitrate to generate a purple flame. A 5% solution of potassium sulfate was used in the beginning of the 20th century as a topical mosquito repellent.
=== Expansion === The idea of expanding the tournament had been suggested as early as 2013 by then-UEFA president Michel Platini, as well as in 2016 by current FIFA president Gianni Infantino. Opponents of the proposal argued that the number of matches played was already at an unacceptable level, that the expansion would dilute the quality of the matches, and that the decision was driven by political rather than sporting concerns, specifically that Infantino was trying to win his election by promising to bring more countries to the World Cup. Starting with the 2026 edition, the World Cup expanded to 48 teams, an increase of 16 teams compared to the previous seven tournaments. As approved by the FIFA Council on March 14, 2023, the teams were split into 12 groups of 4 teams, with the top 2 teams in each group and the 8 best third-place teams progressing to a new round of 32. It was the first expansion and format change since 1998. The total number of matches played increased from 64 to 104, and the number of matches played by teams reaching the semifinals increased from 7 to 8. The tournament lasted 39 days, an increase from the 32 days of the 2014 and 2018 tournaments, and from the 29 days of the 2022 tournament, although each team still played three group matches. The final matchday at club level for players named in the final squads was May 24, 2026; clubs had to release their players by May 25, with exceptions granted to players participating in continental club competition finals up until May 30.

A responder analysis counts participants who cross a threshold, such as five or ten percent weight loss. It complements average percent change by showing how widely results are distributed. The two measures can diverge when a subset of participants loses a large amount.
Mechanistic measures such as energy expenditure and liver fat change come from small substudies and should be read as preliminary. Long-term clinical outcomes are not yet available. Average weight loss figures are better supported than explanations for how the loss is achieved.
Endpoints reported at different weeks, in different baseline BMI ranges, or under different dose-escalation schedules are not directly comparable. Studies in type 2 diabetes often show smaller weight changes than studies in obesity without diabetes. Reporting the population alongside the number keeps comparisons honest.
Retatrutide is an investigational synthetic peptide that activates three metabolic receptors: GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon. It is being studied for obesity and type 2 diabetes. It has not been approved for clinical use.
